Aspiration of fat – liposuction, is a surgical procedure, during which are reduced subcutaneous fat deposits by an aspiration of a certain quantity of fat where it is excessively accumulated.
The procedure is performed in local or in general anaesthesia in an operation theatre. It is possible to remove fatty deposits on the abdomen, buttocks or double chin within one to two hours. During a tumescent method, it is possible to efficiently and more gently perform removal of fat cells. It can be used also in cases when mechanical liposuction was not sufficiently effective. The procedure targets fatty tissue, there is a smaller loss of blood, the risk to develop irregularities is decreased and recovery is faster. Liposuction is performed for the following body parts:
